Punjab discontinues use of stamp paper for land registry

Lahore: The government of Punjab has decided to discontinue stamp papers in order to save millions of rupees that being spent on printing.
According to Geo News, stamp papers would no longer be used for the land registry in the province. Land registry would be carried out on a blank white paper which would have a bar code placed by the Board Of Revenue, Geo News correspondent Amin Hafeez said while reporting from Punjab’s capital.
He said that the bar codes would be used to make sail and purchase of land legal in the province.
