Reports of singer Salman Ahmad’s arrest are fake
Islamabad: YouTubers Imran Riaz Khan, Tariq Mateen, Asma Chaudhry and many other people have claimed that singer Salman Ahmad has been been arrested by police.
The claims regarding Salman’s arrest are false and the video of the Junoon singer being circulated online is old.
The video was originally made when Salman was briefly arrested in 2016.
Imran Riaz has recently shared multiple fake news and deleted his tweets without even apologizing to his millions of followers.
Supporters of the PTI and other political parties have long used fake news to target their opponents.
Authorities have been unable to take measures to curb the spread of fake news.
