SBP issues Rs75 currency note featuring Markhor

Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan on Sunday issued a currency note of Rs75 to commemorate the country’s 75th Independence Day.

The note features pictures of Pakistan’s founding fathers on the front while a photo of a Markhor on the back side.

The note contains pictures of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Sir Ahmed Khan, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah.

Markhor, which adorns the backside of the note, is the national animal of Pakistan.

Markhor used to be the logo of the country’s premier intelligence agency ISI but the organization has now changed it to a falcon.
