TIME accused of giving Imran Khan ‘devil’s horns’ in cover photo
Islamabad: The Pakiatan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and senior leaders of the party on Tuesday celebrated TIME magazine’s cover featuring former prime minister Imran Khan as some kind of achievement.
Those who shared the cover story seemed to be unaware of the content.
The article held Khan responsible for the ongoing crisis and included a reference to his alleged love child.
The article also contained former US ambassador Cameron Munter’s remarks where he expressef doubt that Khan has any agenda for reforms.
Social media users had a field day trolling the PTI leaders and social media teams for not reading the article.
Some users claimed that TIME placed IK’s picture with “M”,representing horns of devil.
A user said TIME did the same with Donald Trump.
Another user argued that TIME places portraits this way at the center on most of their issues and the “M” ends up looking like horns. I don’t think the devil’s horns is intended.
But one of Khan’s supporters said he didn’t care what magazine did with his photo:
