TLP due to decide fate of Lahore sit-in
Lahore: The Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakkstan (TLP) is due to decide the fate of their new protest on Thursday evening. The religious party has warned the state institutions to not interfere with their sit-in. It said there will be serious repercussions if government took any action against the protesters.
The party started its protest earlier this month at Lahore’s Yateem Khana demanding release of their leader Saad Hussain Rizvi.
The demonstration remained peaceful as the party members would stand on roadside to record their protest.
As thousands of people come out on the streets on 12th Rabi ul Awal on Tuesday, the TLP decided to use the opportunity to pressurize the government to turn their peaceful protest into a sit-in.
