TLP rally in pictures and videos
Islamabad: Hundreds of protesters belonging to the TLP (Tehreek-e-Labbaik-Pakistan) on Sunday clashed with police as they marched in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
While there was a complete media blackout of the rally led by Allam Khadim Hussain Rizvi’s son, videos and pictures circulating on social media showed that the party had gathered a large crowd.
The administration had blocked entry points of Islamabad after it failed to convince the TLP leadership to cancel the rally.
According to reports, the protesters, who are currently camped in Islamabad, are demanding the government ask French ambassador to leave Pakistan in protest against the publication of blasphemous cartoons.
