Weather update: Karachi to receive more rain as monsoon currents from Arabian Sea penetrate Sindh

Karachi: The monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea that brought light to moderate rain in Karachi on Monday will continue to penetrate Sindh, Met Office said on Monday.

Karachi and other parts of Sindh will receive rain till July 6th Wednesday under the current system.

More rains will follow once the prevailing monsoon currents subside.

Below is the full statement issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD):

Rain-thunderstorms with a few heavy falls & occasional gusty winds are likely in Dadu, Jamshoro, Jacobabad, Qambar Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Larkana & Sukkur distts, till 6 July.

Rain thunderstorms with isolated heavy falls expected in Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Nawabshah, Noshero Feroz, Sanghar, Tando Allayar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tharparker, Umerkot, Badin, Thatta and Karachi during the period.

Heavy falls may generate water logging in low lying areas in Karachi, Hyderabad, Dadu, Jamshoro, Qambar Shahdatkot, Shikarpur, Larkana and Sukkur districts.
