What did Gen Bajwa say about MNA Ali Wazir?

Islamabad:  The Parliamentary Committee on National Security was briefed by Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajawa and ISI chief Lt. General Faiz Hameed on Thursday.

The committee focused on the situation which is emerging in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of US forces from the war-torn country.

While the army chief and his spymaster briefed parliamentarians on the national security, they were also asked some questions by the lawmakers.

According to a senior journalist, when General Qamar Javed Bajwa was asked about the imprisonment of MNA Ali Wazir, the army chief reportedly said the lawmaker should apologize for his controversial statements about the army.

The army chief also reportedly said he could tolerate criticism against him but anyone criticizing the army would not be spared.
