Who is Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza and why was he arrested?

Punjab police reportedly arrested Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza, a popular Islamic scholar known for his Facebook speeches.

Hundreds of people including actor Hamza Ali Abbasi took to Twitter to demand release of Muhammad Ali Mirza after reports of his arrested surfaced.

According to Naya Daur website, the cleric is likely to release a video shortly in which he address the issue of his arrest.

His opponents claimed that Engineer Muhamamd Ali Mirza was arrested for making controversial speeches.
