Who is Maqsood Arif, the man behind social media campaign against army?
Islamabad: The Federal Investigation Agency on Tuesday arrested the man behind smear campaign against the Pakistan army and its leaders.
The man identified as Maqsood Arif was taken into custody from Sabzazar Lahore.
According to the agency, Arif is accused of running 2100 social media accounts.
While the agency has not disclosed the political affiliation of the suspect, PTI leader Azhar Mashwani distanced his party from Maqsood Arif.
Multiple Twitter accounts claimed that Maqsood Arif belonged to the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakiatan but the TLP has yet to comment on his association.
