Zohaib Qureshi, suspect in Dua Mangi case, arrested

Karachi: Zohaid Qureshi, the suspect involved in the Dua Mangi and Bisma kidnapping case was arrested after an exchange of fire with police.

Qureshi, who had escapes from police custody, was taken into custody from Kandhkot  in injured condition after he sustained bullet wounds in the police encounter.

The police said that the suspect was involved in kidnapping for ransom and other crimes.

They said that the exchange of fire ensued after they signalled car and the suspect opened fire on police.

The police said that six mobile phones were also recovered from the suspects.

Zohaib Qureshi’s Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) was blocked and his name was put on Exit Control List (ECL).

Zohaib Qureshi escaped from custody when he was brought to the City Court  for appearance before a judge on January 27.

The court had issued non-bailable warrants for Zohaib Qreshi in Dua Mangi and Bisma kidnapping cases.
