DV Lottery 2021, 2020: Entrants left worried after Trump’s statement

Millions of US Diversity Visa Lottery (DV Lottery) applicants were left worrying after President Donald Trump said on Monday that he will suspend all immigration into the United States.

Explaining the reason behind his decision, the US leader said he would suspend immigration temporarily through an executive order in response to the coronavirus outbreak and to protect American jobs.

The announcement came as a shock for the people seeking to move to the US through DV Lottery Program. Millions of people are waiting for Lottery 2021 results which are due next month. Fate of thousands others who are waiting for their immigration process to complete in September now hangs in balance.

But the good news for the DV Lottery 2020 and 2021 entrants is that the US State Department has yet not announced to postpone the results or entire Green Card process. So US government’s plans regarding the Diversity Visa Lottery Program remain unchanged for now.
