Babar Awan is not replacing Fawad Chaudhry
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Babar Awan on Thursday rejected as rumors reports that he may replace Information Minister
Fawad Chaudhry.
Rumors were rife that Prime Minister Imran Khan intends to appoint Awan as his adviser on information after the senior lawyer met him.
Babar Awan, however, told the media that the reports regarding his appointementment as adviser on information were incorrect.
He said he met the prime minister to discuss some legal and constitutional matters, without elaborating.
Some days ago the firebrand information minister publicly fell out with Naeemul Haq, a close confidant of Prime Minister Imran Khan over Pakistan Television Affairs.
Without naming Haq, Chaudhry had criticized non-elected people in the prime minister house for interfering in the affairs of state-run television channel.
