ISPR blocks PTI supporters on Twitter

Islamabad: PTI supporters are claiming that the Inter-Services Public Relations, the media wing of the Pakistan Army, has blocked them on Twitter.

As soon as the claim was made, the ISPR became the target of attacks from some prominent PTI accounts.

Anchor Imran Riaz Khan who is allied with the PTI, also raised the issue and asked whether the ISPR also blocked PDM leaders for criticizing the army.

The ISPR and the army has faced an unprecedented onslaught from PTI since Imran Khan was removed from office through a no-confidence motion.

Independent political commentators are surprised to see the level of restraint the Pakistani military has shown in the face of the criticism and allegations from the PTI.

Baloch and Pashtoon activists have also highlighted the extraordinary restraint and complained that they are taken into custody for far less severe criticism of the institution online.
