Kobe crash photos: Graphic images spark inquiry

US authorities are holding an inquiry to determine whether officials were involved in sharing graphic photos of human remains from the site of the helicopter crash that killed basketball legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others last month.

According to the local media, the photos of human remains from the crash site were shared and shown to others.

Without naming anyone, Los Angeles Times reported tha a source let another person take a peek at a photo on his phone.

The reports in the local press said the photos were viewed apart from the crash investigation but it was still unknown whether the pictures were taken at the scene by a first responded or came from someone else.

LA Sheriff Department said they were looking into the situation.
