Mehwish Hayat slams Trump for killing Iran’s Qassem Soleimani

Karachi: Mehwish Hayat on Friday voiced her concern over the killing of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani in a US attack in Iraq.

The actress found it hard to believe that the world was teetering on the edge of war just 72 hours after beginning of 2020.

” Can’t believe that just 72 hours into 2020 & the world is already teetering on the edge of war ,” she wrote on Twitter.

Expressing her view on what might have led to the situation, Mehwish Hayat said ” I guess this is what happens when the “leader of the free world”takes unilateral decisions without regard for international laws”.

The actor who took aim at US President Donald Trump without mentioning his name in her tweet, said “this isn’t just about Iran and the United Sates.
