Pakistan Navy stops Indian submarine from entering Pakistan waters

KARACHI: The Pakistan Navy on Tuesday thwarted Indian Navy’s attempt to enter Pakistani waters, days after Pakistan Air Force Shot down two Indian aircraft.

The Navy said every attempt of Indian submarine to avoid being detected was foiled, in the second such incident since 2016.

A spokesman for the Pak Navy said it was the second occasion since 2016 when it has detected an Indian submarince trying to enter Pakistani waters.

The Pakistan Navy said it spared the enemy submarine In order to maintain peace between the two countries. “The Indian submarine was not targeted. It is the reflection of Pakistan’s desire for peace, the statement said.

The spokesman said the feat was an evidence of Pakistan Navy’s capabilities which is ready to defend country’s maritime frontiers.
