Rida Aasim Islam hits back at haters

Youtube star Rida Aasim Islam has issued a statement to responds to fans who were concerned about her brief absence from social media.

She used her Instagram account to warned the haters against vilifying her through a coordinated campaign.

Here is what she said:

“Assalam o Alaikum everyone! I was away from Instagram for a while because some haters were spreading ugly rumors about me. So a lot of you guys started inboxing me asking about the truth. I got sick and tired of giving people answers so I deactivated.

My husband, @ghazenferjaffery , and I took this case to FIA Cybercrime for defamation and harassment. Thanks to Mr. Abdul Ghaffar who took my case forward. A few culprits have been caught and are under investigation. The pages and accounts creating and spreading rubbish material about me, their names have been given to FIA. Thanks to all my fans who shared the links and screenshots. There were a few pages who personally apologized so we didn’t share their names ahead. We also have contacts of many people who are spreading such rumors on whatsapp, their numbers have been forwarded to FIA as well. And if anyone continues to harass me, I will report their accounts to FIA.

Many haters spread such rubbish about me, I don’t know if it was either to defame me as a celebrity, break my marriage or maybe because I am a woman and I worked hard to get where I am today and they wanted to bring me down. But to their disappointment, I won’t be broken down that easily. I will continue Bekaar Films as it’s something I started with all my efforts. I don’t fear anyone because my husband is with me, Alhamdulillah. My family and my loved ones are supporting me. And most important, Allah is with me.

One thing I want to say to all women out there is to be strong and always fight for your right. FIA Cybercrime is always there to help you out if anyone tries to Cyber bully you, so never give up.

Lastly, I would like to share that there are two kinds of men in this world. One who are weak enough to bring down a girl’s character by spreading rumors for few likes and views. The other ones are those strong men who respect women and support them in every way, just like my husband, Ghazenfer, who has been with me and has supported me throughout. Which kind of a man are you?”
